2nd Runner-up in Astron Space Lab 3 Competition

Date: 28/06/2025

Earlier this year, twelve talented students from S2, S4, and S5 formed two teams to compete in the prestigious Astron Space Lab 3 international competition. Their hard work paid off — one team secured the 2nd runner-up, while the other earned the Experiment Idea Award for their innovative concept.

The challenge? Using Python programming, participants had to analyze data from the International Space Station (ISS) and calculate its orbital speed around Earth. Impressively, our students' programs were selected to be installed on the ISS, where they are now performing real-time data collection — with results being transmitted back to Earth!

Beyond coding, the competition tested their ability to integrate physics, mathematics, and data science, turning classroom knowledge into real-world solutions. This hands-on experience not only sharpened their technical skills but also strengthened their problem-solving abilities in complex, interdisciplinary scenarios.

We're incredibly proud of their achievements and excited to see where their passion for STEM takes them next!
